06.05.08 - New Album Update
Just wanted to let you all know that we are hard at work on the new record. We have about 16
songs right now that we are tracking. Once we're finished with that we're going to try to pick
the best (our favorites) and narrow it down to a more concise record. There are a ton of new
songs (some we haven't even really played as a full band yet), some new stuff we've been playing
live, and some older stuff too. The drums and bass are tracked to all 16 songs and Matt Kelley and I will be working on guitar and vocals in the coming month or two. After that, we're going to add extra instruments, background vocals, etc. We'll probably take a day or two up at Nickel and Dime with Kris Sampson (who mixed our last record). We're really excited about the new record....frustrated that its taking so long, but excited nonetheless. Hope this message finds you all well, and hope to see you soon!

Don't forget that the band will be playing 99X/Rock 100.5's "Unplugged in the Park" Summer Concert
Series on Sunday, June 15. The band will be headlining with special guest Heather Luttrell. It all starts a 7 PM. This is the third time the band has played "Unplugged in the Park" and every year has been a blast! This one should be no different!

03.25.08 - Summer Dates Coming!
So we have added a few dates for this summer including a very special Unusual Suspects' 5th Anniversary Show and even more are on the way! Be sure to check out the 'shows' section!
The Smith's Olde Bar show in Atlanta on April 1st has been cancelled by Comcast. We apologize and hope all of you make plans to come out to The Grove on May 10! We'll make it up to you!
Look for a new t-shirt design in the 'store' in the coming days.
To all the Charleston folks, don't forget that "Blackbean Soup" will be premiering at the historic American Theater on Thursday. Showtimes are at 6:30 and 8:30 and tickets are $7. The locally directed surf film features two Unusual Suspects songs! Come out and support local art!
03.04.08 - Quick Update!
Quite a few blogs, updates, and videos have been posted over at The Unusual Suspects' Official Myspace page as well as here. The site has been completely revamped as well. So check it out and let us know what you think! The sun is setting on Coney Island...could that mean a new album soon!?!?
A HUGE thanks to all of you who came out to The Windjammer on Saturday. It was a show like no other, and the band had a blast! The next show will be on April 1 at Smith's Olde Bar in Atlanta. The Suspects are filming an episode of Comcast's "Bands on Demand" TV series. So head over to Smith's and get yourself on TV!
To all the Charleston folks. Briteside Productions (the same people who shot the video for "Ms. Steal") shot a surf film that features two Unusual Suspects songs. All of the footage is local surfers at Folley Beach and all of the music used is from Charleston bands. There is a screening on Thursday, March 27 at the American Theatre in downtown Charleston. There are two showings at 6:30 and 8:30 and it is $7 to get in. Be sure to go out and support local film and entertainment! Check out the trailer below:

02.11.08 - Update from matt
Hey, what's up y'all. I just wanted to give you a quick update on some of the stuff going on.
First up, we will be at Vinyl this Friday (February 15) in Atlanta. We're playing the International Pop Overthrow Festival. It should be an awesome time, and there are a lot of good bands playing that night as well!
We just added a radio date on Sunday, February 24. Brian and I will be going on 98X to talk about the new record and The Windjammer show on March 1. So if you're in the Charleston area, be sure to tune into 98X FM on Sunday, February 24, at 9 PM.
Matt Kelley and I will be going on ABC News 4's "Lowcountry Live" morning show to talk about The Windjammer show and perform an acoustic song. So skip work on February 29 and check us out on ABC News 4 - Charleston at 10 AM.
On April 1, we will be filming for an episode of Comcast Cable's "Bands on Demand" television show. We're be filming an interview and later that night, playing a small set at Smith's Olde Bar in Atlanta. So if you're around Atlanta on April 1, head out to Smith's. We'll be there and I promise it's not an April Fools' joke.
Matt Kelley and I will be doing an acoustic set at Jesse Malin's bar, Niagara in New York on May 25. Should be an awesome time. So if you happen to be in the New York area, or a true New Yorker, head out to Niagara and say hello. We'd love to see some familiar faces!

01.17.08 - It's 2008!
Can we just say one more time how awesome our crowd was at The Loft this past Saturday. We needed you, and you were there. Loud, obnoxious, and everything we could ever love and hope for! We would like to think that y'all had as much fun watching us as we did watching y'all. We would like to apologize for the short set time and let you know that even though it was out of our hands we still feel like we let ya down a little bit. But we're working on a way to make that up to you. Some way, somehow!
